Behind the camera
Director, DP and editor, based in Dakar. Thirteen years behind a camera — first shoot at 12, first camera at 17, working professionally since 18.
My thing: grain, texture, matter. A raw, organic image shaped by hip-hop and street culture. I shoot close to the real, natural light, and I edit to let stories breathe rather than over-produce them.
I take projects end to end — writing, art direction, shooting, editing. Brands, music videos, documentaries, social formats. In Dakar and wherever it shoots. Alongside brand work, I also produce e-learning and serious-game content, notably in cybersecurity.
Thirteen years of practice, years in agencies and audiovisual production, now freelance. What doesn't change: an image that rings true, and a project carried through without losing the original intent.
